Nutrition front and centre

Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre staff are stepping it up as the centre becomes the first in Australia to ensure all fitness staff hold a Certificate of Nutrition in addition to their exercise qualifications.

PARC health and fitness manager Dan Andrews believes that sound health and wellbeing advice should be readily available to the Frankston community.

“By providing free, qualified nutrition advice for members, our new program is not only extremely beneficial but also accessible,” Dan says.  “We’ve invested in state-of-the-art equipment, including medical-grade body composition scales that take the guesswork out of weight losses or gains.”

The centre’s gym will also get a revamp, now offering high-intensity team interval training classes.  Called POWERZONE 30, these classes will see people perform a 30-minute program using state-of-the-art equipment, including the individual MYZONE fitness-tracking system.
