The Cake Cottage

Since starting her first business 20 years ago, The Cake Cottage owner Sally Quill has swept all before her, winning everything from national bridal industry awards to the hearts of her customers. Now she’s about to add another string to her bow – two in fact. This month, Sally is launching homemade gourmet donuts - which are available in 15 delicious flavours – and nine varieties of fabulous freakshakes.

So as well as the cakes, slices, pies and tarts The Cake Cottage is famous for, you now have two more reasons to visit.

Peninsula Star Cycles is an iconic bicycle shop in Frankston holding the Avantiplus dealership. While it has proudly served the Frankston community from its home at 48 Playne St for more than 70 years, newspaper archives show that Frankston bike shop history started in Playne St before 1914.

Peninsula Star Cycles provides unparalleled customer service and the friendly and experienced staff have served generations of families, with customers returning with their children and their children’s children.

The shop proudly supports schools, charities and associations with sponsorship, bike fleet servicing, Human Powered Vehicles, Great Victorian Bike Ride and bike maintenance classes. It is currently supporting the Beyondblue charity, having donated the Avanti bike being ridden by Chris ‘Lone Aussie Rider’ Anderson in his round-Australia journey that started from Frankston Pier.

Peninsula Star Cycles stocks a wide range of bikes and accessories for all ages with leading bike brands such as Avanti, Scott, Raleigh and Malvern Star. The highly knowledgeable skilled team of staff and mechanics repair and service all makes of bike, with plain honest friendly advice.
